Director Jotham Opiyo is the Treasurer of the Sacco. Previously he served as the Chairperson of Audit & Risk Management Committee, and in the Board up to March 2023 as Chairman, February 2018, as the Vice Chairman of Kimisitu Sacco and Chair Audit and Risk Management Committee of Kimisitu Sacco Society.
He have also served in all Kimisitu board committees on rotation basis since the time he joined the Board in 2015. The committees are credit, Audit and Risk, Education and Business Development committee. He has been very instrumental in the development Kimisitu has made over the years. His full time employment is at Ibounty Property Company where he is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ibounty Property Company deals in land buying and selling, property Investment consultancy, Housing Finance in partnership with KUSCCO Housing in Kisumu, Western, Nairobi and Mombasa.
He also sit in the Board of Graphic Lineups which is one of the leading printing companies in Kenya. Prior to joining Ibounty Company, he worked at Kimisitu Investment Company (KICL) where he played instrumental role in the formative stage for four years as Accounts Assistant. He also worked at Kimisitu Sacco at different levels as an intern, office assistant and loans for a span of four years. He was at Kenya Airways (KQ) as Management Trainee in Revenue accounting. CPA Jotham has a wealth of working experience spanning for a period of ten years in Sacco operations, Property Investment, Finance and Accounting, customer care, administration and relationship management.
He is a holder of Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting from University of Nairobi besides being Certified Public Accountant (CPAK). He is having several certifications majorly in Cooperative Sector and governance. Jotham is also known for good relations, tolerance, patience, dedication, humbleness and initiating successful activities in totally new environments. His vision for Kimisitu Sacco has always been “To have anything that needs to happen, happen at the right time for Sacco members”
