Mr. Ayieko is the Chairman of Kimisitu Sacco. He is a Lawyer, Certified Public Accountant, Economist and an op-ed writer in leading local dailies. He holds a Master of Arts (Economics), Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degrees (all from the University of Nairobi). He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He holds a post-graduate diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a diploma in Banking & Finance. He passed his (CLE) bar exams and is due to be admitted as an Advocate of the High Court. He is currently pursuing Certified Secretaries (advanced level) that qualifies one to practice as a Company Secretary.
He is a Certified Director with the Institute of Directors Kenya and a member of the Toastmasters International. He is also a member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) serving in the Governance, Integrity and Compliance Committee. Mr. Ayieko has over fifteen (15) years’ work experience in policy, research, advocacy and trade and investment. He has also worked for a diplomatic mission, international audit, tax and advisory firm, commercial bank, NGO and stocks market.
Last year, he served as the Secretary for the Credit Committee and a member for the Business Development and Education (BDE) Committee. Previously, he served as the Treasurer and Chairman for the Finance and Administration (FINAD) Committee, Secretary for the Audit, Risk and Management (ARM) Committee and Secretary for the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Committee. He has several professional certificates in credit management, competition law, risk management, ISO auditing, Information Security Management Systems and Business Continuity Management. As the Chairman, Mr. Ayieko’s vision is to promote members’ financial independence, foster transparency and accountability and grow Kimisitu Sacco into a formidable behemoth within the DT-Sacco sector in Kenya.
